I had a great time on a Learn to Lead course at Sunderland Wall. The guidance was clear and helpful with the instructor being chilled yet attentive. Lead climbing can be a bit spooky the first time you do it but the instructor was great at making a calm and safe atmosphere which helps you just focus on the climbing.
